Awesome Recipe
For the dough
1 russet (baking) potato (about 1/2 pound)
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons warm water
1 envelope (about 2 1/2 teaspoons) active dry yeast
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3/4 stick (6 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 large egg
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 1/2 to 3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
3/4 stick (6 tablespoons) cold unsalted butter, cut into bits
3/4 cup firm packed light brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
print a shopping list for this recipe
preparation
Make the dough:
In a small saucepan combine the potato, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces, with enough water to cover it by 1 inch and simmer it, covered, for 10 to 15 minutes, or until it is very tender. Drain the potato well, force it through a ricer into a bowl, and stir in 2 tablespoons of the water. In a small bowl proof the yeast in the remaining 1/2 cup water for 5 minutes, or until the mixture is foamy. In a large bowl stir together well the yeast mixture, the mashed potato, the sugar, the butter, the egg, and the salt, add 2 1/2 cups of the flour, and stir the dough until it is combined well. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it for 8 to 10 minutes, adding as much of the remaining 1/2 cup flour as is necessary to form a smooth and elastic dough. Transfer the dough to a buttered large bowl, turning it to coat it with the butter, let it rise, covered with plastic wrap, in a warm place for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until it is double in bulk, and punch it down. The dough may be made 1 day in advance and kept covered and chilled. Bring the dough to room temperature before continuing with the recipe.
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Press the dough evenly in a buttered 13- by 9-inch baking pan and let it rise, covered with a kitchen towel, in a warm place for 30 to 45 minutes, or until it is puffed. Make indentations all over the top of the dough with your thumb and scatter the butter over the dough. In a small bowl stir together the brown sugar and the cinnamon and sprinkle the mixture evenly over the dough. Bake the cake in the middle of the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until it is dark brown and cooked through. Let the cake cool for 5 minutes and cut it into squares.

Good Morning
Hot and humid again here today ... 24 hrs w.out breaking down ,... This is so hard When I was little I thought my Mom would live forever and she would always be there... So hard .. She was a colorful person and always lived life to the fullest .. Never worried about what others thought ... but was often hurt by their words.. I guess no one really understood her she was hurting inside all she wanted was to be loved by someone and not made to feel guilty ..or stupid .. No one really ever saw that side of her ... I did and not that she wanted me to .. When Joe passed she was heart broken and asked who will love me like that again ... I love my Mom and I miss her something awful and I will always treasure the life I had with her ,, the good the bad and the ugly .. She always loved me and never judged .. Be at peace Mom I will take care of it all like I always did .. Love you Mom

Afternoon...
It is getting bad here in PA with the flooding ... towns near me are flooded badly and people are evacuating .. Hershey Park in Hershey PA is flooded and they have lost animals from the Zoo there... very sad. So far " knock on wood " we are not flooded and we can get around. This rain is crazy any more we are going to building an Arc ---
It is also Humid and we cannot keep the windows open so we are having to run AC during the day and fans at night.. Hopefully soon we can have some dry weather .. I so wish we could send our rain to Texas with the fires..
Other than the weather things are good ... Mike my ds and Steve my dh went to pick up their new rats... They love the small furry rodents and take very good care > we recently lost the 2 we had and the house is not the same without the squeaky wheel...lol
I will try and keep you updated on the weather you can go to wfmz.com or 6abc.com for pictures and stories.
Have a safe weekend

Good Morning
It is still raining here is PA ,,, I wish I could sent this to Texas they need rain badly --
I am going to be adding some links on the page here today for different recipe and cooking sites...
I am hoping to get some things done around here today ,,, but ... the rain makes me sleepy..lol .. I do have to call the school because I need to get my son to re take English < he failed last year > and hopefully not have him go to Night school , that is 200.00 I do not have... sighs ,, soon he will be done and i will not have to deal with the schools anymore .. It is sad really the schools around me have gone down hill and seem to have stopped caring ..
it took me over 5 years to get them to test him for ADHD and it took literally threatening to go to the school board .. very sad .. and he was officially diagnosed and has the Meds he needs and is doing better.
Hopefully you have a wonderful week
Thank you for stopping by

This is a very basic pantry list – there are many more items you can add, according to your taste and preferences. To make sure everything runs smoothly, do remember to replace items as they run out. We do it by having a shopping list posted on the fridge – whenever we notice that we are about to run out of an item, we immediately add it to the list.
Here is the site I got the list : www.everythingmom.com/organizing/pantry-list.html

Good Morning
Good Morning
Today is just a blah day ... Economy going crazy and me the only one working and I watching these reality shows and wonder .. Seriously !! I have been in a funk lately because I am living paycheck to paycheck and trying to cut back and not sure where to start --- Then the show Downsizing comes on and I though Hmmm maybe I can learn something and then as I am watching it hits me ... How can they complain when they are getting paid to have their lives on TV --- How is this a bad thing .. any of the Housewives of shows .. Seriously the biggest thing you have to worry about is whether to get a cappuccino or a decaf -- I said I was in a funk. I need work on my house and I have tried to get then best deal for my dollar and no deals... I ever offered to help and so did my DH and they said we could not form insurance reasons.. SO I am looking up online how to fix and repair and go from there. So if anyone living in Bethlehem PA knows of anyone or where I can look online for a good Handy Man ... I am willing to help !
I do make a decent hourly wage < between 19.00 and 20.00 per hour > Insurance for me and family is about 160.00 a month for full coverage > it is all the taxes .. Since Steve and I are not legally married > it is a domestic partnership form now > I also have a 401k and that is doing OK for now-- I had to borrow against it for < Emergency > Washer and Fridge died at the same time ..lol..I just sit and look at all the things that are taken out of my paycheck ... SS Tax < may not be there for me when i retire > Privilege Tax , I live in PA , it is NO longer a privilege to work .. Medicare Tax > again may not be there for me when I retire , City Tax . for 2 cities and I work in 1 and live in another , State Tax , FICA , It just seems like WHERE does this money go ????
Steve has been looking for work for over 3 years .. he had a job and we had to take care of my Mother and he stayed home with her --- She has been in a home for about 3 years now but so far only temp jobs ---
I am not looking for sympathy or anything I just needed to vent..
WE have our health , family and love so we are good ...
Sorry for the vent but i do feel better for now ...LOL
Have a great day all

Good Day
Good day it is sunny and about 60 here in PA and loving the weather ... Now if the water were better.. we had a HUGE water main break and we had very low pressure and then nothing for 24 hrs. Went out bought water and when I got back water was on but looked like mud and we are in a BOIL Water time until hopefully tomorrow .. then we can use water again.. Wow you never know about these things and it makes me think .. I need to have some on hand for this -- We have a lot of construction going on with the new Casino's going up and You just never know .. So we are planning to stock up after this ... not to bad of a time except for flushing .. that was a challenge ...
Other than that things have calmed down a bit and when I have a little extra time I will elaborate for you all --- Have an Awesome weekend everyone ...

10 Ways to Slightly Increase Your Income
Everywhere you turn nowadays, you can be guaranteed to hear a laundry list worth of complaints about the economy and rising gas prices. It’s not just the pessimistic grumbling this time, times are really and truly legitimately tough. Even the most optimistic people I know are at least feeling the pain at the pump. Something about this economic crisis has me a bit perplexed though. Amidst all the complaints, I don’t hear many solutions or fixes being suggested. It seems we’ve accepted our fate and are content to ride out this blip (hopefully) on our radar with a few well targeted rants and facebook status updates.
The truth is, there are things that we can do to make our lives easier and to ease our newfound financial burdens. There are small, but significant and valid ways of increasing your income without working the graveyard shift at your local fast food joint.
Here are 10 ways to slightly increase your income and reduce your economic frustrations:
Make a budget-First and foremost, if you don’t have a budget, make one. I’d like to leave this out and assume that this is the first place that most people start when their wallet is feeling light. The truth is, some people don’t know how to budget. Or they don’t think having a budget will help them. It will! Write down where your money needs to go and follow it up by recording where your money truly goes.
Shop strategically-Learn to use coupons, make grocery lists and menu plans and you’ll significantly reduce a huge chunk of your budget in one quick swoop.
Take advantage of deals, freebies and coupon codes-We all have necessities. This doesn’t mean we need to pay top dollar for our clothing, toiletries or cleaning supplies. Learn how to spot a bargain, and when you see a freebie sign up for it! (I recommend using an alternate email address when signing up for freebies online. Not for any sinister reasons, simply so you don’t clog your personal inbox with the inevitable emails those companies will send out)
DIY-Learn to do things yourself. From scratch cooking to home repair, there are so many services and goods that we contract out every single year. Teach yourself how to do a few things on your own and not only have you immediately saved money, you’ve taught yourself a skill that will continue to be a money saver for the rest of your life!
Take those newfound talents and sell yourself-Okay, not in the literal sense obviously. However, you now have a marketable talent that can make a small side income. Don’t assume that just because you know how to do something, that everyone else does. Or that they even want to!
On the same token, look at what you do professionally/daily and see if you can translate that into a side income as well.-Are you a teacher? Tutor on the side. Are you a computer repairmen? Start a small computer repair business from home in your off hours. Stay home with your kids? Watch a few of your friends kids in your home.
Make money online-You can start small with surveys and getting paid for emails. You can start a money making blog. Write for Associated Content or Viewpoints, or one of the dozen other freelance writing sites.
Sell your stuff-This doesn’t have to be original works of art you’ve created. Sell your old textbooks, clothes, books, etc on Ebay, Craigslist or even Facebook (to your friends and family). We all have stuff laying around that might not be useful to us, but might be treasure to someone else!
Negotiate with everyone-Call all those people you pay every month and see if you can negotiate for better rates or cheaper packages. You might be surprised how many companies are willing to drop your monthly rates just because you picked up the phone!
Downgrade-If times are really hitting you hard, it might be time to take a serious look at your lifestyle and your budget and make some cuts. Downgrade down to 1 vehicle, cut your cable package, give up the expensive kids activities, etc.
We can be proactive in cutting our expenses and increasing our income even in the current economy. There are areas of improvement available for all of us. So while I might still grumble and complain, I know that there are things that I can do! I’m not helpless, there certainly is hope…with plenty to go around.
Heather loves to write about frugal living over on her blog Family Friendly Frugality. She is from good ol’ Texas and resides there with her husband and her two young children. Stop by and stay awhile!

MOLD KILLERS
Tea Tree Treasure
Nothing natural works for mold and mildew as well as this spray. I’ve used it successfully on a moldy ceiling from a leaking roof, on a musty bureau, a musty rug, and a moldy shower curtain. Tea tree oil is expensive, but a little goes a very long way. Note that the smell of tea tree oil is very strong, but it will dissipate in a few days.
2 teaspoons tea tree oil
2 cups water
Combine in a spray bottle, shake to blend, and spray on problem areas. Do not rinse. Makes two cups.
Vinegar Spray
Straight vinegar reportedly kills 82 percent of mold. Pour some white distilled vinegar straight into a spray bottle, spray on the moldy area, and let set without rinsing if you can put up with the smell. It will dissipate in a few hours.

VINEGAR DEODORIZER
Keep a clean spray bottle filled with straight 5 percent vinegar in your kitchen near your cutting board and in your bathroom and use them for cleaning. I often spray the vinegar on our cutting board before going to bed at night, and don’t even rinse but let it set overnight. The smell of vinegar dissipates within a few hours. Straight vinegar is also great for cleaning the toilet rim. Just spray it on and wipe off.

OVEN CLEANER
1 cup or more baking soda
Water
A squirt or two of liquid detergent
Sprinkle water generously over the bottom of the oven, then cover the grime with enough baking soda that the surface is totally white. Sprinkle some more water over the top. Let the mixture set overnight. You can easily wipe up the grease the next morning because the grime will have loosened. When you have cleaned up the worst of the mess, dab a bit of liquid detergent or soap on a sponge, and wash the remaining residue from the oven. If this recipe doesn’t work for you it is probably because you didn’t use enough baking soda and/or wat

1/4-1/2 teaspoon liquid detergent
3 tablespoons vinegar

Put all the ingredients into a spray bottle, shake it up a bit, and use as you would a commercial brand. The soap in this recipe is important. It cuts the wax residue from the commercial brands you might have used in the past.

And also going to stock up on Dog Food > Paper Products > Stuff to make Laundry Soap > Cleaners etc... I am so excited !!

Hello
I am still relaxing and not really getting stuff done...lol I am also going to be going through recipes > MYO > and posting here... I am also thinking of starting my own frugal Group on Yahoo but not sure yet.. If I do I will post it here...
Mom is back in the hospital she had a fever of 103 .. She has Alzhimers > Dimensia > Diabetes and she is fighting an infection in her blood ... Very Sad and Up and down...
Mike is doing well and better since on Adderall and getting batter grades.. Diet helps ADHD as well
Amanda is still looking for a job.. She has her insurance through the Welfare system here and she is now covered... I was so worried when she was taken off mine about her Asthma and Anxiety
Ashley and Thao just gt back from California where they are moving to next year with Thao's sister
they are learning CA is not cheap..LOL
Steve and I are good ... We love each other more than words can say .. I thank God and my Guardian Angels everyday for him --- I do not know many men after moving in and starting a life with a pre made family would give up their job to care for a MIL with these issues... He is awesome ...
Other than that family is good and weather is SNOW and more SNOW and then I think even more SNOW..
That is my update
